Present in the DSM-IV[edit]

Someone should write a note acknowledging its presence (MADD) as a provisional diagnosis within the DSM-IV. It is not an ICD-10 pure construct. There is widespread acknowledgement of MADD within the community to describe sub-threshold depressive and anxiety symptoms. Recent studies are focusing attention on categories such as MADD (and on pathological comorbidity) in highlighting the need for dimensional systems to be implemented in the future nosology (DSM-V, ICD-11). There should be some acknowledgement of this resurgence within the article. It should also be noted that the disorder is sub-definitional within both classifications (DSM-IV, ICD-10) and is therefore thought of as less significant (or less important). --139.153.56.34 (talk) 19:30, 2 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]
