Can this be added to clarify her as Aliina Mayes[edit]

I am wanting to add this citation http://www.dnb.sk/news/8090/velkym-pismom-na-plagatoch%E2%80%A6/ as it clarifies Missrepresent as Aliina Mayes as does http://www.mobygames.com/game/windows/need-for-speed-most-wanted__/credits. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Mark Sediment (talkcontribs) 14:25, 19 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Editing[edit]

I have edited the document as the grammar edits left by Red Pen of Doom had full stops and commas in the wrong place. I went on to edit as per advice from Huon in the chat room. He mentioned that the sentences that had been written by Red Doom Of Pen were too short and he shouldn't of included the statement from Flavour mag, so, that has been edited, and re-written so the sentences are not as short. I am editing this article so that the top box is removed. There seems to be a lot of conflict of opinions on how things should read.

My advice referred to this revision of the article. I think the gist of the Flavourmag quote could have been summarized as "... noting the speed of decks" or something like that. Bringing some chronological order may also help - or some other order, possibly. Right now the article jumps from 2013 to 2009, to 2012 and then to 2015, and I don't see why that order is meaningful. Aliina Mayes / Aliina Atkinson[edit]

Please can you bear in mind that Aliina Mayes as a maiden name will appear on all the discography up until 2015, and her marital name Aliina Atkinson will appear on all notable references thereafter. Please refer to http://www.discogs.com/artist/2490288-Silent-Code

Thank you. Sam Parsons 1981 (talk) 23:51, 19 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]

I would have expected her stage name to appear on discographies both before and after her marriage. Huon (talk) 00:18, 20 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Reply to Huon:

Her stage name is DJ Missrepresent, but she produced music under the duo Silent Code; therefore Aliina Mayes and Aliina Atkinson are used before and after marriage. This is unusual because most music producers are male, and do not change their names.

For any legal music publishing, her real name Aliina Mayes or Aliina Atkinson is used, not her stage DJ name Missrepresent. Please see Sparks Media publishing for EA Games and Moby Games resources as cited. Music Publishing, Music Production and Music Releases on record labels are completely separate entity's.

In this case, Silent Code released 3 music records on 3 separate drum and bass labels, as Silent Code. The music labels authorized these artists to let EA Games use the records on Need For Speed as Moby Games state discretion to these labels in the publishing credits. This is where the real names will be used for legal reasons.

At a glance I haven't seen any of the draft's reliable sources refer to her as either Aliina Mayes or Aliina Atkinson. I don't think that's a problem. The publishing credits are primary sources and won't be more than name-drops; those are useless as references for a Wikipedia article. A review discussing the games' music would likely use her stage name. Huon (talk) 18:41, 20 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]
