Controversy?[edit]

The article tells us that

Henner created controversy in early 2012 with the publication of Less Américains.

Was there any controversy?

Three writers are cited:

  • Ladd describes objections to others' earlier reworking of photos by yet others. He describes Less Américains straightforwardly: he neither seems worked up over it nor to allude to anybody else who is.
  • O'Hagan follows Ladd, though he does play with the idea that it might be an insult, and he quotes one totally mindless online comment and another that's a lot more polite but hardly more insightful.
  • Pantall has great praise for the book.

Has anyone whose opinions are worth considering decried the book as a rip-off, a fraud, a failure, or whatever? I can believe that somebody did, but I don't remember reading such a take-down or even seeing one referred to. -- Hoary (talk) 12:39, 14 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]
