Education and schools[edit]

Miller County currently has three public schools located within the county. They are Miller County Elementary School, Miller County Middle School, and Miller County High School. The Miller County Board of Education maintains a website with information on educational programs available. Contact information for individual schools can also be found within their website. It can be found at http://www.miller.k12.ga.us.

School enrollment for 2005 for K-12 student population was 1,042. Enrollment figures during the 2005-2006 school year for the schools are as follows:

  • Miller County Elementary School (PK-5) - 457
  • Miller County Middle School (6-8) - 243
  • Miller County High School (9-12) - 342

In 2009, the Elementary, Middle, and High School students moved a new K-12 School on Phillipsburg Road. It included separate parking lots including Faculty, Students, Visitors, and Bus parking. The old Middle/High School is now home for Board of Education office.

Also a College and Universities are Bainbridge College also a campus in Bainbridge and Blakely.
