Does this have a website?[edit]

I was wondering whether this football league has a website for it. I find it very difficult in finding more information about this league. Perhaps users living in England has more knowledge about this league? --S iva1979^{Talk to me} 02:17, 20 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Siva, it would appear that this league and the Staffs County League have amalgamated to form the Staffs County Senior League, with the Midland League forming the Premier Division. Have a look at [1]. Mind you, they still seem to use the Midland League name for the top division, interchangably with the SCSL Premier name....very confusing.... The league rules only mention the Staffordshire County Senior League, so can this article be moved there, so the title "Midland League" can be opened up so I can write an article on the Midland League that existed prior to 1982 and became part of the Northern Counties East League. - fchd 17:27, 24 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

– There are many competitions bearing this name in both England and Scotland so I propose there should be a disambiguation page (Midland Football League (disambiguation)) linking to the renamed Midland Football League (England) and Midland Football League (Scotland) articles. Oppose - per WP:TWODAB. No need for a disambig-page when there is only two pages with the same name, and the English league seems to be the WP:PRIMARYTOPIC. Though I would support moving the Scottish article to Midland Football League (Scotland), as the league is called "Midland Football League" not "Midland Football League in Scotland". Oppose moving the English one. Per WP:2DABS, keep clear primary topic Midland Football League where it is, and add a hatnote to point to the Scottish one. But support moving Midland Football League in Scotland to Midland Football League (Scotland) anyway: WP:NATURAL says we shouldn't use made-up names or names not commonly used in English for disambiguation purposes. cheers, Struway2 (talk) 09:29, 16 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Comment - My reasoning for to create a disambiguation page (that I'm now unsure about) is that the current Midland Football League article is already ambiguous in that it refers to two unrelated competitions in England that used the name.
