Family name[edit]

The original name of the Vartan family is Vartanian (sometimes spelled Vartanyan), not Vartanidis. Michael's aunt Sylvie Vartan was born Vartanian; we could logically assume that Michael's full name is Michael Vartanian, but I found no mention of this, so maybe the family legally changed the name and he is actually called Vartan. The cited source-- a link to no less than Sylvie Vartan's (Michael Vartan's aunt) official website-- does not specify Armenian descent. It, however, states that Sylvie Vartan was born in Bulgaria. Meanwhile, Michael states in an interview (quoted also in the article) that his father is Bulgarian. Until a reliable source is found that says the Vartans are, unequivocally, of Armenian descent, the encyclopedia article cannot include the information.Doctorqui (talk) 01:42, 19 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Ice hockey[edit]

He's a great sports fan and plays ice hockey whenever he can. Back in 1993 in the "Puck" episode of the British Spender TV series, he played a (gay) ice hockey star, Paul Ducheyne.(79.157.112.107 (talk) 20:21, 22 May 2016 (UTC))[reply]
