Merger proposal[edit]
I propose to merge Picuris orogeny into Mazatzal orogeny. From the most recent references, it appears that these refer to the same geological event. --Kent G. Budge (talk) 23:10, 18 April 2020 (UTC)
- Looking more closely at the sources, it appears that I gave too much weight to a particular point of view; the notion of separate Picuris and Mazatzal orogenies is apparently still very much in play in the geological community. Clean up proceeding[edit]
I've done my best to bring some coherence to the article. The original was basically a long lawyer's brief for regarding the Mazatzal and Picuris orogenies as a single event. It did have a lot of useful reference, and I've tried to capture that in a new section. This still needs a lot of work for balance. --Kent G. Budge (talk) 21:44, 19 April 2020 (UTC)
