  • ... that although Mayu Island has an area of less than one square kilometer, it has two different temples honoring the same goddess? Source: "面积0.97平方公里" ... "岛上最奇之处,莫过于一岛拥有两座妈祖庙"[1]

  • New enough, long enough, well written article about an interesting place. Thank you Mx. Granger. The quotation from the source translates well to the hook, which is interesting. My only question is whether www.dahuawang.com is a WP:RS - Mx. Granger, please could you confirm your view on this? Onceinawhile (talk) 20:16, 25 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for the review. The source from www.dahuawang.com is a reproduction of a local news article from the Shantou Special Economic Zone Evening News (汕头特区晚报), which should be reliable for this type of information about local history and geography. —Mx. OK thank you, good to go. Onceinawhile (talk) 20:16, 26 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Metric units[edit]

Did anyone consider whether "kilometer" should be spelt "kilometre"? I take "kilometer" to be US English spelling, and this article seems not to be US-related. Thanks, Kiwipete (talk) 09:03, 31 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Because this article doesn't have a strong tie to any English-speaking country, it's fine for it to use any national variety of English. The article currently uses US spelling, which should be retained unless there's a good reason to switch to another variety. WP:ENGVAR is the relevant guideline. —Mx.
