CDP is wrong[edit]
Contrary to what the CDP says, the area is not "all land".
Marlton has several ponds and lakes as well as a number of year-round creeks that feed into the Charles Branch. They never dry up, even in the hottest weather or the driest year. The area also has a number of freshwater wetlands in low spots. Certain low-lying parts of Marlton are also flood-prone, due to all the water that moves through the area.

- Although the street map shows 4 ponds or lakes, a quick look at the satellite map will show more.
- Keep in mind that Maryland freshwater ponds and lakes have a lot of algae and duckweed in warm weather, especially as the summer goes along.
- At first these areas will look green in the satellite image, but they are actually water, not land.
