design date[edit]

If the U2 was designed in 1979, how can there be a photo of a U2 being raced in 1966? 175.45.70.34 (talk) 00:24, 18 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Because this whole article is wrong. For example, the Mallock U2 cars were built by Ray Mallock's father, Arthur Mallock, not by Ray, going back to Austin "specials" before World War II, with the Ford sidevalve powered U2 appearing in 1958. 95.95.62.155 (talk) 11:08, 19 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
