262 or 260[edit]

Flight number 260 appears several times in the article. Which flight no. is correct?

Notability?[edit]

Was this a notable incident? I'm not sure it meets the requirements of WP:AIRCRASH - no one was killed or injured, and there don't seem to have been any major consequences. The aircraft in question was withdrawn from service afterwards, but that seems like a borderline claim to notability at best. Robofish (talk) 18:22, 1 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

The airplane hit the ground with its body, then climbed up, flew another 16 minutes and successfully landed with no injuries. This is very notable to me. To you, a notable incident is one where the plane breaks into pieces and everyone dies? Mikus (talk) 01:34, 22 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]
I agree with Mikus. It surprises me that anyone would view such an unusual incident - a weird combination of gross incompetence and great skill all rolled into one - as as anything less than notable. After all, how often does something like this happen? Mdnavman (talk) 02:33, 29 January 2012 (UTC)mdnavman[reply]

I also agree it is notable, because this airplane landed the first time with no gears, so it’s belly could break and make the controlling system useless or eventually make this plane brake apart, so on me it seems a miracle that no-one got killed. Enivak (talk) 18:51, 23 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Definitely notable in light of Pakistan International Airlines Flight 8303 which shares similarities but ended very differently. Retswerb (talk) 02:35, 13 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
