Application File[edit]

I was on the Madrid 2020 website yesterday, but it now appears to be down. On the website I believe the application file was available. On the Tokyo bid wiki page I linked the application file and I would like it if we could do this with the bid pages for the 2020 bids. If anyone has the url link to the file then please don't hesitate to post it under external links. --MusicGeek101 (talk) 20:26, 17 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Done! --Holamadrid2020supporter (talk) 17:41, 23 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I believe that is the link but the site still is not working. --MusicGeek101 (talk) 21:52, 23 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

External links not working[edit]

The link to the Madrid 2020 site and the applicant file still are not working. Do other people who come on this page have this problem? I would like to determine if we should keep these links here. --MusicGeek101 (talk) 15:25, 2 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

links are working now, please leave them in place --MusicGeek101 (talk) 20:53, 15 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Expanding Venues section[edit]

Now since Madrid has become a candidate city I was thinking that it would be a good idea to expand the venues section in a manor similar to that of the Tokyo bid page. If anyone has extensive knowledge in regard to Spanish sport/sport venues in spain and Madrid, you could significantly improve this article by helping to expand that section. --MusicGeek101 (talk) 19:45, 24 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

Here is an article with an updated version for the Madrid 2020 logo with the Olympic rings: http://www.gamesbids.com/eng/olympic_bids/2020_bid_news/1216136227.html

I want to make sure that using this logo in the infobox is okay. --MusicGeek101 (talk) 00:07, 13 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, it falls under the Fair use and WP:Logos. If you're updating the logo in the info box though, you should create it (upload) it as if it is a completely new (different) image rather than simply updating the current file (just to be on the safe side). Ravendrop 00:16, 13 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Racism[edit]

What effect will racism have on the bid? There are a few articles which questioned whether incidents like the one at the 2008 Olympics by the basketball team would have an effect on the 2020 Bid. [1]. There were also incidents of Spanish fans throwing bananas at black football/soccer fans during league play there. Should this be included? I believe so. Thoughts?TurtleMelody (talk) 19:00, 1 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Not needed. Small incidents like that would not likely play an effect and really do not have much relevance to the bid itself. If the issue comes up when the IOC evaluation committee visits Madrid next year then maybe it would be somewhat relevant. --MusicGeek101 (talk) 04:17, 2 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]
