Madden '99 was NOT the first Madden game with NFL players on the cover[edit]
Madden '95 had Erik Williams (Cowboys) and Karl Wilson (49ers, wearing the wrong number for some reason) on it.
And both suffered from the "Madden curse", too: Williams was injured in a major car accident shortly after its release and spent
