Wind deflectors[edit]
Some commercial vehicles have a wind deflector on the cab roof, but this is not a Luton body: the Luton is functional and can be accessed from the main body.

- Exactly. The space above the cab in a Luton body is part of the main load area. The wind deflectors often fitted above the cabs of heavy trucks (in Australia almost universally for long-haul vehicles, to save fuel) are not Luton extensions, because the enclosed space within them is neither used for cargo nor accessible from the main load area. See the example at right. Similarly, if a cab-forward truck has a sleeper cabin it's generally over the cab as there's nowhere else for it to go, but that's not a Luton extension either although it looks superficially like one. Proposed merger[edit]
