Hi, I'm adding a few bits to this article, and making a few fairly minor changes. Please do feel free to disagree:

(1) I've removed a reference to Hupfeld buying 'construction companies' as in English this implies companies that build buildings, whereas what he bought appears to have been piano-makers (more believable). I've also added a reference for this, blatantly nicked off the German Wikipedia
(2) I've modified the bit referring to the Triphonola reproducing piano because it looked like an incorrect translation of the German wikipedia page, which reads "Eher bescheidenen Erfolg hatte Hupfeld mit dem 1908 vorgestellten Reproduktionsklavier DEA, dessen Rolle später das Triphonola wesentlich erfolgreicher übernahm."; I've replaced the English sentence with a better translation of the German.
(3) I've enlarged the section on instruments to include a description of the Phonoliszt violona, which may not have been a commercial success at the time but is seen now as an extraordinary piece of history. I intend asap (no time now) to add an external link to a YouTube video in which a museum guide shows one in action, and also (if I can) the reference to 3500 having been sold by 1930, but I'm struggling to set up a wayback-machine link to a defunct website. Any volunteers of help greatly appreciated! Elemimele (talk) 12:59, 11 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]

I have now added the external link, and also an extra reference. If anyone knows any good-quality references, this article could certainly benefit from them. The problem is that most easily-available information on this sort of theme will come from museum websites and videos; good and accessible secondary sources are hard to come by. If anyone happens to have a good book on orchestrions... Elemimele (talk) 15:57, 11 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]
