I recall an amusing scene in one episode in which they track down a winner at the airport. He’s a Haré Krisna type who is chided by his partner for gambling, apparently against the rules. The prospective winner confesses: “I bought it in a moment of weakness.” Flaherty asks the religious miscreant if he wants the money and, if so, all Flaherty needs to do is date the check. The young man pauses to reflect just a moment before responding: “Today’s April 14th [or whatever].” So apparently tickets were bought just like most lotteries.HistoryBuff14 (talk) 14:45, 18 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]
