who were the Pinners?

Was there also once a "Worshipful Company of Pinners?" Do/did they exist under a different name?--something to do with pin-making or needle work, etc, I gather. There was a Pinner's Hall, which I always assumed was connected to one of the livery company's, but perhaps I'm wrong. Anyone know? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.167.69.46 (talk) 17:10, 13 September 2012 (UTC)

There was a "Pinmaker's Company" - hence "Pinner's Hall" on Old Broad Street - but they ceased to be in about 1800. It would be good if someone could add information on them and the other 'deceased' livery companies to this article. -- Huwbwici (talk) 20:40, 4 April 2015 (UTC)

I know it is a blog but [1] provides some information. Jackiespeel (talk) 19:30, 9 January 2017 (UTC)

[2] adds some information and may be more appropriate for WP. Jackiespeel (talk) 19:32, 9 January 2017 (UTC)

Defunct Livery Companies

A (possibly partial) list can be found here [3]: most have few traces on the web, and some are noted elsewhere on Wikipedia (eg Fullers and Shearmen on the Worshipful Company of Clothworkers page). Jackiespeel (talk) 19:39, 9 January 2017 (UTC)

Guild of Investment Managers

There are a bare handful of mentions on the internet - it appears to be in the planning stage at present and may require some time to be sufficiently notable for Wikipedia. Jackiespeel (talk) 18:18, 14 June 2017 (UTC)
