Untitled[edit]

The list does not seem to jibe with the list of US cites by density: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_United_States_cities_by_population_density (in that there are many US cities that should be included on this list and are not). — Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.234.42.218 (talk) 00:14, 9 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Confusion between metropolitan area and city division[edit]

Levallois-Perret totally isn't independent "metropolitan area", it's part of Paris. Same for Neapoli, part of Thessaloniki. If city parts count, then Kwun Tong of Hong Kong would top this list. Or probably some place in Manila. --Sigmundur (talk) 10:30, 14 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

sequence of the listed areas/cities[edit]

The sequence of the areas/cities listed are not in the correct order - if you look at the numbers given for the population density, #7 Delhi should be lower on the list and #48 Karachi should be higher up. I don't have any other other numbers than the ones given in this table and I don't know how to edit (yet). Can someone take care of this? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 4tunamayo (talkcontribs) 13:23, 4 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Update needed[edit]

I'm afraid I don't have time to do it myself, but in case it's useful, I'm just flagging that this list in need of an update. All the data is at least 10 years old.

Redundant article[edit]

There is an article on the same topic with better content: List of cities proper by population density. Please remove this smaller article/merge 2A00:1FA0:4A4D:6115:0:47:C9DD:EC01 (talk) 12:47, 2 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Gaza[edit]

gaza should be added. It's 25 x 5 and has 2 million ppl. Which = 21,000 population per square mile. sourcing:

Missing Countries[edit]

There's no place in the US and no place in China that made the top 100? Doesn't sound right. Also I agree with comment above, there's a lot of very small places that perhaps do not count as a city(and larger places that should). Need a good definition of a city. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2601:184:C400:DCA0:81DA:A9E0:50BB:BA2B (talk) 20:53, 3 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Malé information substantively revised[edit]

Density of Malé is given as 786,836/km², which must be a mathematical error because 252,768 ÷ 1.96km² = 128,963/km². More recent data gives a population of 212,138, table revised and density figures adjusted to be more realistic ADEps (talk) 23:12, 11 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
