This a streaming media system which does not have a link in the List of streaming media systems page.

Technology[edit]

PAL (up to 384x288, 25fps) or NTSC (up to 320x240, 30fps)
Java player
HTTP fetches
Dynamic adjustment of video size and frame rate to reflect actual connection speed
Live review, editing and publishing available through FORscene

History[edit]

First version launched at IBC (Europe's biggest broadcast show) in 2003. Regular upgrades since then.

Streamcast is not a Streaming media system[edit]

As stated in the subject. I have removed it from the list.

Andromeda / Zina[edit]

Commercial products on this list[edit]

This list seems to be a mix of open-source and commercial products (Wowza for example). Is that acceptable? There are a lot of commercial streaming media systems out there. Packet Ship[edit]

Further to the above I've added an external link to a commercial RTSP streaming product, Packet Ship, with an NPV description - I hope that is acceptable. It is relatively notable within its specialist domain (hotel VOD systems). sandtreader (talk) 12:53, 18 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Completeness[edit]

Is this article intended to be a complete list? If not, why not? If so, shouldn't it have a {{Expand list}}?

This article does not list Internet pornography#Video files and streaming video. Is there a reason? If such are listed, should they be listed here, or should there be a link to a separate article? —Anomalocaris (talk) 21:55, 2 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]

It's not supposed to be a complete list. It only lists links to existing articles (that are notable per WP:N). As the introductory comment on the page says: "All entries that point to non-existent articles or external links will be deleted." My understanding is that the article primarily focuses on software streaming media systems and servers, not on video hosting services such as pornographic video hosting service websites. These are listed in List of video hosting services, which includes pornographic video sharing wesbsites, too.—J. M. (talk) 22:44, 2 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]
