List of secondary schools of Rupandehi district was nominated for deletion. The discussion was closed on 24 June 2023 with a consensus to merge. Its contents were merged into List of schools in Nepal. The original page is now a redirect to this page. This page is in dire need of improvement[edit]

Schools are arranged without any order, by amateurs and people who have no idea about what Wikipedia is supposed to be. I suggest arranging them in alphabetic order rather than this jumble of names and locations. Inclusion criteria[edit]

As stated at Wikipedia:Stand-alone lists, Wikipedia:Notability#Stand-alone lists and Wikipedia:Manual of Style/Lists#Adding individual items to a list:-

All lists must have clearly defined inclusion criteria
Every entry should meet the notability criteria for its own article. Red-linked entries are acceptable if the entry is verifiably a member of the list, and it is reasonable to expect an article could be forthcoming in the future. This prevents indiscriminate lists, and prevents individual lists from being too large to be useful to readers.
Editors may, at their discretion, choose to limit large lists by only including entries for independently notable items or those with Wikipedia articles.
All list entries must follow Wikipedia's core content policies of Verifiability (by citing reliable sources as references), No original research, and Neutral point of view

This list fails most of these requirements in that:-

There are no clearly defined inclusion criteria
Most of the entries are not "verifiably a member of the list" in that they have neither an article nor a reference
As per the above rules, all redlinks, without a citation, should be removed
Redlinks with a citation, should only remain if it is "reasonable to expect an article could be forthcoming". (although how this can/should be assessed is unclear)
Personally, I would like to "limit the list to entries with a Wikipedia articles", and delete all redlinks - as point 3 above and most other similar lists - but that is a matter for consensus.
I invite comments on the elimination of all redlinks, but will commence removing redlinks, without citations, shortly. - Arjayay (talk) 09:07, 28 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
