Consecutive starts watch list for 2021[edit]

The following QBs could attain the top 25 for consecutive starts all-time leaderbaord:

If NFL expands to a 17 game regular season per this article.....and if Tom Brady doesn't start game 1 next season.

Philip Rivers #2[edit]

Wikipedia usually updates quickly. I’ve notice that Rivers is still showing 210, but should be 211 now. He is #2 for regular season starts and will be #2 including playoffs in 4 weeks. Rivers17Rules (talk) 00:52, 25 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for the heads-up; I updated it. Useight (talk) 01:38, 25 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]

New Section Idea[edit]

What if we put a section with active qbs who have, say, 25+ consecutive starts but are not in the top 25? It would include Dak Prescott at 57 (60 including playoffs), Tom Brady at 53 (62 including playoffs), Derek Carr at 36, Aaron Rodgers at 26, Deshuan Watson at 25 (26 including playoffs), and Jared Goff at 25 (29 including playoffs).

I would advise against this unless someone can find a source that lists active streaks of this length from a reliable source. For example, I found the following link that discusses active streaks here, but it only lists active streaks up through Kirk Cousins who is already listed in the top 25. What we would need is some article that includes active streaks that include the Dak Prescott's of the NFL, etc. Stylteralmaldo (talk) 17:23, 18 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Cancelled games[edit]

Do cancelled games, like the Damar Hamlin game, count as a start for a QB? Josh Allen is *pinches air* THIS close to making the list.

No. NFL policy on a cancelled game says, “To cancel a game is to nullify it either before or after it begins and to make no provision for rescheduling it or for including its score or other performance statistics in League records.”
According to this source. Hey man im josh (talk) 14:20, 27 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Peyton Ahead of Eli[edit]

Peyton should be ahead of Eli if he started 227 vs 222 for Eli. 2600:100D:B122:F026:D58F:D956:1BD6:EA1C (talk) 16:00, 27 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
