General issues[edit]

Please remember that WP:VERIFIABILITY and WP:RS applies to list articles as well. This list is mostly unsourced and contains some claims that are inaccurate or WP:EXCEPTIONAL and not supported by appropriately high-quality sources. This is particularly the case when it comes to claims of mosques dating to the 7th century or of being the first or oldest etc, which are frequently based on local tradition rather than any historical and archeological studies by academics (which often say something else). I've described the same issue before at Talk:List of the oldest mosques, and this is more of the same. R Prazeres (talk) 18:25, 17 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

I've revised some of the claims to be more neutrally-worded and to remove unsourced WP:OR details ([1]). This involves multiple claims that I can't all summarize in one edit summary, so feel free to ask specific questions about them here. (Also have a look at the linked articles, which I've generally tried to improve recently.) R Prazeres (talk) 18:38, 17 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
