Brackishwater and Introduced?[edit]

I'm confused by the content of this page. Does it list fish that are both brackishwater and introduced (not native to Sri Lanka)? Or does it list both non-native fish and brackishwater fish? If so, which ones are which? I think this would also be confusing for many readers. --HighFlyingFish (talk) 03:24, 24 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]

@HighFlyingFish: I agree, this is pretty confusing. Maybe split the page into two? - ක - (talk) 09:11, 30 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]
@HighFlyingFish: The list includes both native brackish water and non-native (introduced) fresh+brackish water. Why these completely different groups should be included in 1 list is entirely unclear to me. I suggest splitting (and/or deleting native brackish water?), but the current random combination is untenable. Of note that the current list of native brackish water (all sections before Cypriniformes) is highly incomplete, only listing a small percentage of the species in this habitat. In contrast, the introduced fresh+brackish water (Cypriniformes and following sections) is reasonably complete, even if it also lacks a few species (e.g., Clarias cf. batrachus) and a few of those already listed do not appear to have been able to fully establish themselves in SL.
