Description of Pimachiowin Aki[edit]

The "Description" of Pimachiowin Aki does not describe any features of the place. It does provide interesting background on how the site came to be, but nothing about why it came to be. Frankly, I've followed some of the nomination process for this, and its justification seems nebulous and reaching. Perhaps I'm not informed enough, but, even after reading several materials, I cannot put my finger on specific places folks can visit, here. Perhaps that's why it's such a challenge to write a Description. Yoho2001 (talk) 12:58, 25 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Signal Hill and Torngat Mountains[edit]

On December 13, 2022, a unregistered user (2604:3d09:1a81:da00:2567:4cb7:938c:a9e0) made edits to the tentative list section. As part of these edits, the user added Signal Hill and Torngat Mountains to the tentative list using the follow link as a source for these changes:

https://parks.canada.ca/culture/spm-whs/indicative-tentative/heartscontent

This link does not indicate that Signal Hill or Torngat Mountains are on the tentative list and only references Heart's Content Cable Station. Both UNESCO's website and the Government of Canada's World Heritage Site webpage do not include Signal Hill or Torngat Mountains in the tentative list.

Therefore, I will be removing both from the tentative list on this page. Gmwikipedier (talk) 22:52, 4 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
