Noteworthy Tibetan Writers?[edit]

Isn't this supposed to be a list of important or noteworthy Tibetan writers ~ not a list of minor authors or of lamas who may be noteworthy themselves but of no particular notability as writers, having not written anything gernerally considered to be of particular significance? Some of the names included in this list (particularly in the 20th century group) have made only minor literary contributions in Tibetan. IMO the list probably therefore needs some serious cleaning up or pruning and needs attention from someone with at least some expertise in Tibetan literature. Also no sources are cited. A list like this needs citations from objective sources. There are many thousands of Tibetan authors - there should be some objective criteria or reason for inclusion in a list like this. It is also questionable if "Foreign writers with Tibetan names" should be included if they are neither ethnically Tibetan nor have written anything in the Tibetan language.

Could you be more concrete? Maybe we should discuss each century beginning with 7th-10th century... is 7th-10th all right? --Wissling (talk) 13:07, 16 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]
For explanation: I started the „Liste tibetischer Schriftsteller" as an extension to de:Tibetische Literatur... the list starts with Thonmi Sambhota you can find him here... --Wissling (talk) 13:57, 16 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]
