Expanded content[edit]

Having found the Natural England county level reports that give tabulated data for all the sssis, I have turned the information from it into the expanded table, along with extra stuff such as the coords and nature on the map details. I am hoping to roll this out on other counties, to match. RobinLeicester (talk) 01:33, 29 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Division of Leics and Rutland[edit]

I have separated Leics and Rutland, reflecting changes in the Natural England database. The counties in the original NE list of SSSIs were based on the 1974 reorganisation, and for many years did not take account of changes in the 1990s, so our lists, which date to around 2006, are based on the 1974 system. NE updated the counties around 2015, but the Wiki lists are still out of date, with lists for Avon and Cleveland, counties which were abolished 20 years ago. Leics and Rutland were one county until 1997, when they were separated. Strictly, Rutland is now a unitary district council called Rutland County Council, but NE treats it as a separate county. I have updated Leics and Rutland to comply with the NE counties as I have started working on upgrading the SSSI lists for these counties, but whether anyone will ever update other out of date counties is uncertain.
