Pending Edit concerning unusual numeration syntax[edit]

I do not understand the current situation with the episode numeration syntax. Without any explanation provided on the page, I expect it is simply an error. Yet leaving time for someone to provide their reasoning first, I will delay changing this. If reasoning is provided, I will provide it as a note on the page so as to prevent others being similarly confused. Alternatively, I am also hoping someone might provide an explanation for how such an error would appear. In any event, I will make an edit soon enough unless explicitly told not to do so. Thanks! Added with this edit, special:diff/1122658814, and edit summary "Added variants". Makes no sense to me and is wrong to list them that way anyway. Tempted to revert to before that edit but there are good edits since then. That added stuff should not be part of the episode numbering. Geraldo Perez (talk) 18:36, 29 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]

I spent the night attempting but then failing to impliment an idea of how to accomplish a satisfactory result. I shall try again sometime soon, but I undid my edits from tonight which were accidently prematurely submitted anyways. Of note, I was surprised to see that, while there seems to be partial support in the wikipedia templates, they lack the ability to properly/fully impliment my desired result in the end. Even so, I shall tackle eventually. Lol.

I am a veteran programmer, but I am not familiar with Wikipedia's mark-up language & templates. I'll either learn how or find a work-around if a default option is not readily available. BoyBlueSky (talk) 12:24, 1 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
