Shinsuke and Hijikata[edit]

I'm not sure what "He stated that he is just have beast within him, and will continue to destroy anything until the beast within him stop to moarning" under "shinsuke" means. I haven't reached that part in the manga, so someone please clear this up.

Re: Takasugi's description: The person who wrote that was probably referring to chapter 31 (anime episode 17) where Takasugi said, "I don't mind being a beast. I have nothing to protect, nor do I have the need to protect anything. I just want to destroy it all, until the beast stops moaning." --Lareine 15:35, 28 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Character namesakes and citations[edit]

It is very obvious as to whom Katsura, Takasugi and Sakamoto are based on, so I believe that citations are not necessary, just as they aren't needed for Kondou, Hijikata and Okita. Their namesakes are all key people in the Meiji Restoration era. --Lareine 17:10, 19 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Okita Mitsuba[edit]

Elizabeth[edit]

"In the manga, it is revealed that Elizabeth's real name is General Jiang-Lian of the Lian-Feng race, a race of mercenaries specialized in covert operations, and he, along with many Lian-feng, act as pets for numerous Earthlings in order to prepare Earth for an invasion."

Kotaro Katsura[edit]
