Anti-Bolshevik Bloc of Nations[edit]

The article on Anti-Bolshevik Bloc of Nations now lists the Estonian Liberation Movement and the Union of the Estonian Fighters for Freedom as members. It seems to me, that these groups may in fact be the same as Eesti Vabadusliit and the World Legion of Estonian Liberation (Ülemaailmne Eesti Vabadusvõitlejate Liit). -- Petri Krohn 10:12, 25 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

It's precisely this kind of offering of sources with no regard to content or accuracy that leaves readers open to making completely incorrect conclusions:

We start out with Frank Gordon, a highly reputable and respected source.
We then have Simpson's misinformative consipiracy treatise parroting Soviet propaganda: "...Latvian Vanagis, to name only three, many of these immigrants were, in fact, part of experienced, highly organized groups with distinct political agendas that differed little from the Fascist programs they had promoted in their homelands." The Daugavas Vanagi are nothing but a veteran's welfare group, never existed in Latvia, and were in no way fascist. This contention is all based on the Soviet propaganda book, "Daugavas Vanagi-Who are They?" which paints them to be a clandestine organization of Latvian fascists, a blatant Soviet lie.
We then have interesting reading on the U.S. government's policy actions against the Soviet Union, some of which involved attempting to leverage émigré organizations formed in the U.S.

So: one reputable source, one disreputable source, and one interesting source. I hope you were not considering suggesting Simpson to be an "inspirational" source. — Pēters J. Vecrumba 04:19, 10 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Exile government and representations[edit]

I am wondering whether it is representative of the facts to put the exile representations in the section about "exile government". As far as I know there were no formal contacts between the governmet and the representations. Rename to Estonian Diaspora[edit]

I suggest renaming this page Estonian diaspora. Then, instead of merely listing organizations, there could be some additional material that provides context (about waves of immigration, and the development of Estonian communities in various countries). I'm thinking of something along the lines of Ukrainian diaspora. Some material might be translated from https://et.wikipedia.org/wiki/V%C3%A4liseestlased .
