Fox/Disney naming convention needed[edit]

Seeing the Death on the Nile release listed, it brings up the issue of what will be done going forward on Wikipedia's "....in film" pages about the Fox & Fox Searchlight releases after apparently March 2019 when the purchase of Fox by Disney is complete? Will the Fox & Fox Searchlight continue to be offered under their own brand? Sometimes the specialty labels like Focus Features are listed alone with their parents. But Marvel Studios gets sole credit, even though they don't actually distribute the films as a true "studio" does.

Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them 3[edit]

What about Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them 3? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2601:C8:C001:8A3A:EDB5:FB25:69A9:81E7 (talk) 03:15, 14 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]

2021 in film?[edit]

Should a "2021 in film" page be started? Fast and Furious 10 has apparently been announced for release on April 2, 2021, but it's the only 2021 film that I know of so far. Alphius (talk) 14:48, 3 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Not until it actually goes into production. If we start putting in every film that someone is THINKING about making the world will come to an end, especially once they see what I am thinking.
Same thing with the sections for Highest-grossing films, Events and Notable deaths. We would probably get a bunch of weirdos checking every day to see when they are going to snuff it.
That said, these future pages that are more than a year ahead should probably get locked down, have a link for regular editors to submit suggested updates for approval instead of messing with all the fanboyz adding their wishlists for stuff like Harry Potter and the Zombie Dumbledore Part LIV. I think four years in the future is enough for film — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2A02:C7D:257F:8200:7817:756D:49A6:26AD (talk) 02:32, 30 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Changes to columns[edit]

Removed Medium column and added Country to list of films. Kid Bugs (talk) 16:23, 11 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Additional untitled films[edit]

This article: http://deadline.com/2015/10/ant-man-sequel-incredibles-2-release-dates-disney-1201570867/ lists two untitled Pixar films and an untitled animated Disney film as having 2020 release dates. I assume they should be added to the list? Alphius (talk) 02:27, 19 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Godzilla vs. Kong?[edit]

Where is Godzilla vs. Kong? — 73.47.37.131 (talk) 22:23, 16 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Not in production at this time. Kid Bugs (talk) 02:17, 20 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]

LOUD HOUSE MOVIE WRITERS[edit]

Can someone get rid of JONATHEN AIBEL and GLEN BERGER? They have not been confirmed. There only there because of SPONGEBOB 2 and 3. Would be much appreciated.

CAN SOMEONE PLEASE REMOVE JONATHEN AIBEL AND GLENN BERGER FROM THE LOUD HOUSE MOVIE?[edit]

They are not writing for that movie.

Adam Driver and Chris Pratt are not cast members of "The Loud House Movie". Whoever keeps adding spam names, please stop.[edit]

Table Column Width[edit]

Can someone adjust the width size of the 2020 films table columns - more specifically fixing the inconsistent width size of the "Genre" columns? I don't know how exactly to do that.

Page title[edit]

Currently, all 2020 films listed at this page deal with American films, and there is no other substantial information in the article. As such, I would propose moving this page to List of American films of 2020; see also consensus at Talk:2019 in film#Proposal. DeluxeVegan (talk) 02:53, 21 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Invitation to talk pages about the format of 2019 in film[edit]

Everyone seeing this is invited to the sections on WP:FILM and MOS:FILM about the format change on 2019 in film. BattleshipMan (talk) 21:32, 6 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Where's the Genre[edit]

Do i need to visit every article to know if its a horror movie or a drama etc.? Abskiee (talk) 21:14, 10 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Vandalism[edit]

Can someone protect this page? I recently had to delete all of the blatant incorrect info and vandalism in the film lists.

Tom and Jerry[edit]

Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer is not doing Tom and Jerry. Is there a source for it or no? 98.235.131.222 (talk) 03:16, 17 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Please restore Genre for the move lists[edit]

Hello, DAC8190 here, about 6 months ago I commented to someone about the fact that the GENRE column had been removed from the List_of_American_films_of_2019. Shortly after that post (not sure how to find it again?!) it was restored.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_American_films_of_2019

Looking at the 2020 list I see it is missing again. How do I get in contact with the editors of that 2020 list and again point out that GENRE is important?

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_American_films_of_2020

Thanks!

--DAC8190 (talk) 19:17, 7 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Greetings, I have restored the Genre column for the lists. I did it to maintain consistency with the other "List of American films of" articles. It took a while, but it's up.

Thank you Draco9904 --DAC8190 (talk) 20:30, 22 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]

The GENRE column has already been deleted. It's frustrating. Who does that?Infohamb (talk) 12:56, 3 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

DAC8190 (talk) 18:42, 21 May 2020 (UTC)§So, the decision has been made to delete the Genre Colum, that is too bad. It has greatly reduced the usefulness of the movie list for me and others who used this information.[reply]

Please restore the genre section. It is exceedingly useful. I don't know why it keeps getting deleted or what benefit there could possibly be from its removal. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 96.83.143.161 (talk) 21:35, 26 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

NETFLIX[edit]

If certain movies were never shown or won't be shown in theatres like Netflix, then they shouldn't be on here. - Cineplex (talk) 6:28PM - March 30, 2020

The article name is List of American films of 2020, not List of American theatrical releases of 2020. There’s no reason to exclude Netflix. Rusted AutoParts 22:41, 30 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

What about Crip Camp (Netflix) and Boys State (Apple TV+)[edit]

Crip Camp and Boys State, two of the most notable documentaries of the year, are missing from the list. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 98.14.140.45 (talk) 17:23, 11 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

What about Wolfwalkers[edit]

It seems like this one came out in November 2020, https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wolfwalkers Okayjg (talk) 22:13, 11 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Many movies are not in this list[edit]

So many movies aren't listed here. I went through the Oscar nominees and this list doesn't have "The Father", "Judas and the Black Messiah", "Minari", "Nomadland", and "Another Round". Okayjg (talk) 22:23, 15 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]
