Right, will make straightforward copyedits as I go and jot queries below: cheers, Cas Liber (talk · contribs) 14:30, 28 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]

I'd bold instead of italicising "The Blues" as it is an alternate (though vernacular) name - looks funny with unbolded italics next to bold. Place in double quotation marks rather than italics.
The last sentence of the lead should be in a paragraph, not stuck out on its own.
The club settled at this ground and it later became known as Windsor Park, the club's permanent home and host to international matches since its opening. - try not to have two "club" s in the one sentence. Bit unwieldy - how about, "Later known as Windsor Park, this became the club's permanent home as well as hosting international matches."
Belfast Celtic were the first champions of the league after its return in 1947–48. Since they had won the last five titles before the League was suspended in 1940, this was a record sixth consecutive Irish League Championship. - I think I'd leave this out as off-topic
They also won the short-lived North-South Cup that season but it was actually the 1960–61 competition. - this setence leaves me a bit lost as to what it means.... got it now
The first player or coach mentioned is Roy Coyle, which seems to be rather late in the peace - it would be good if some key past players could be mentioned in any of the history up till this point....being sprinkled in chronologically...?
The paragraph starting with Eric Bowyer has no inline citations...
The Big Two rivalry has only to citations - needs some more
Linfield in Europe needs citations - also meld first bit into a paragraph
Cliftonville's fine of an extra £250 came as a result of their fans causing an 'explosion' during the game - why is explosion in quote marks?
I'd reorganise - place the Big Two and Sectarian sections together in the article as they are about fans/support.
which led to a controversial accusation that the club held a historical policy of not signing Catholic players - I'd remove "controversial" - let facts speak for themselves.
... former manager David Jeffrey maintained that it was the players' desire to wear the famous blue shirt, not religious affiliation, which mattered most. - needs ref.

Overall though an engaging read and within striking distance of GA status. Cas Liber (talk · contribs) 15:21, 28 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry for the delayed response, and thanks for your input so far. I didn't think it was going to make GA status straight away, but it certainly helps to have some indication as to where exactly the article is at. I've made some of your suggested changes. Looking over it, I agree that it does need more citations. Also, you're right about Roy Coyle. I'll start researching other key players/managers earlier in the club's history, and working on additional citations for the article. Reddev87 (talk) 15:32, 6 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Ok cool, happy to leave this open for a while and see it get done "right" as it were. Cas Liber (talk · contribs) 20:43, 7 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Getting there. I think I've added citations to cover most of, if not the entire article. I've also inserted info on some of the club's key players chronologically, although it may possibly need some polishing. The sentence about David Jeffrey has been removed, as I cannot find a definitive ref for it. I've also elaborated on the North-South Cup sentence. I think it makes more sense now. Overall, the article is certainly in better shape than it was when I began editing it. Reddev87 (talk) 18:29, 8 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Looking much better..in fact, quite "Good"....hang on....Cas Liber (talk · contribs) 21:54, 8 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]
