Not related to Gloria Holden[edit]

Laurie Holden is related to the late actress Gloria Holden. This claim has been proven many times. Despite much speculation, Gloria Holden had two sons Christopher Hoyt and Lawrence Holden. Laurie's father has been identified as "Gloria Holden's son" but is of blood relation to her{24.62.126.170 (talk) 05:46, 17 July 2010 (UTC)}[reply]

Okay, I don't want to get into an edit war over this. Someone keeps changing the birth date to 1972, and IMDB says 1969 (although I'm aware that may not be reliable). I don't think there's a source on this either way. 94.169.46.11 (talk) 13:22, 20 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

There's absolutely no way Laurie was born in late 1972, as was previously posted on Wikipedia and on the IMDb. 1969 seems highly unlikely as well, based solely on her physical appearance 3 decades ago. The USA Today article, dated 18 December 2001, states that she was 29. Assuming her age was accurate at the time it went to press, her birth year is 1972 (2001 minus 29). Laurie Holden is a Founding Board Member of the Canadian Somaly Mam Foundation and an Advisory Board Member of The Somaly Mam Foundation in the U.S. She was enrolled at Columbia University where she is acquiring her Master of Human Rights degree.
