Source for inspiration?[edit]

Is there a source to support this song was about Joni Mitchell? There are other Graham Nash songs ("Our House" for example) that are generally understood to be about Mitchell, but this one was supposed to have been about a married woman he had a love affair with. Joni would have already been divorced or at least definitely separated. There's at least one mention in a book source of who the woman actually was who inspired this song, but it's a bit paparazzi-ish for Wikipedia. TheBlinkster (talk) 03:15, 8 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]

If this is about Mitchell, not only do I wonder what island the title refers to, metaphorical or otherwise, but Mitchell looks like "the sun refused to go" just about everywhere on her body. :D Jyg (talk) 02:52, 11 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]
