Paragraph form vs. table form[edit]

The purpose of the article is, or at least I believe it to be, to provide an overview of many aspects of LGBT+ topics within the frame of Eurovision. I don't believe this article should get bogged down on including every single individual who has been present in the contest who identifies as LGBT+, since this isn't a list article, and I feel a category is a better method of allowing for a way to highlight individuals who competed in Eurovision who are also LGBT+. I created a companion list article. A category is deficient because:

It only lists names, and no other information
By definition, a category cannot list names of people who do not have Wikipedia articles

huh wouldn't a greater lgbt theme be constituted of the different lgbt identities — among other things — from different esc entries? re: dana international, whose gender identity was anathema for many of the participating countries. divorcing identity from "theme" does not make the slightest sense. a table trumps any alternative. 118.200.181.172 (talk) 00:43, 1 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]

I have reverted to the prose format, with additional text around participants who have come out in later life. The scope creep of attempts by other editors to list every single participant who has come out was never the intention of this article, which is why this has been dialled back now. Yes, some high level examples of notable LGBT individuals who have participated in the contest makes sense here, but only to a point, and a massive table trying to list them all is more of a distraction to the rest of the article.
