Garbaguracha (kuyyu) has one high shcool and two elelmentray school. it is Garbagruacha high school, kera elementary school and School of No3 elementary school.

Garaba guracha town is the bussiest town in the Norhern Shawa. it is a lunch and dinner center for the travellers to Addis ababa, Gojjam and Gonder. unemployment rate is high. most youthes are spenting their time in school and they got very poor library.

Garabagurahca town is very famous in sport field. Soccer and running feild are among the success field. The frist Garbaguracha athlete who join an international club is Tadesse Bacho Adamu back in the 1970th, Girma Assefa, Ketema neugusse, Tesfaye Girma, Tsige Dechasa, Seblewongel Kidanemariam and Addanech Assefa are the new generation whom joined the Mugur club and who participated in an intranational race like Olmpic, Boston Marathon, Newyork marathon, ROME marathon etc
