Comments[edit]

This is an interesting article. We should have more of this type of articles. Mkland (talk) 08:18, 7 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I have reverted edits by an anon IP, most likely that of a banned user, and restored the previous sourced information. Tajik (talk) 22:29, 7 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

No mention of large numbers of civilian casualties in the Kunduz Province[edit]

No mention of the 142 civilians reported to have been killed by German troops?

Evidence of civilian casualties[edit]

How about at least a single line mention of the Kunduz airstrike and its casualties?

Aliabad[edit]

Aliabad has a Pashtun-Uzbek population. The district is dominated by Uzbeks but Pashtuns represent the governeur. The number of Tajiks is there nearly zero. --188.107.4.206 (talk) 15:04, 2 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Demographics[edit]

All sources agree that there is a Pashtun majority in Kunduz Province. Here is one credible source. More sources can be added if needed.

I am not from Afghanistan, but i can clearly see that when it comes to articles from Afghanistan.. the articles are extremely anti pashtuns.. Provinces which everyone knows are pashtun majority example Farah, Badghais, and Kundaz are shown as some other ethnic group.. no wonder wikipedia is not accepted as reliable source in colleges/universities.. Removal of 'Demographics' column in Districts section[edit]

Took a look over the 'demographics' column in the Districts section. Only one district has a source listed that worked (Ali Abad) and it was completely wrong. Originally the wiki page showed 73% Tajik, 11% Pashtuns, 8% Hazara, 8% Uzbek while the source it referenced showed something completely different (47% Pashtuns, 33% Tajik, 12% Hazara, 8% Uzbek).... So I went ahead and fixed that. The rest of the column is unsourced and very likely incorrect.

Look at a previously listed source (Naval Postgraduate school). It lists the ethnic groups as follows:

https://web.archive.org/web/20121002214003/http://www.nps.edu/programs/ccs/Kunduz/Kunduz_Executive_2009.pdf

Pashtun: 33% Uzbek: 27% Tajik: 22% Turkmen: 11% Hazara: 6% Pashai: 1%

It goes on to say:

"Gilzhai Pashtuns comprise 33% of the population of Kunduz and are the majority ethnic group in the province. They are primarily found in Imam Sahib District."

The numbers from the Imam Sahib district in the table read as: 35% Turkmens 30% Uzbeks, 20% Tajiks, 15% Pashtuns

So per the source (Naval Postgraduate School): the major ethnic group of the province who are primarily found in the Imam Sahib district comprise only 15% of Imam Sahib district. Clearly this is incorrect.

Removing all data in the 'Demographics' column that is unsourced. WikiEditUsername7 (talk) 16:07, 21 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]
