The name written "Krishna Varier" may be read as "Rama Varier".  Rama Varier  is the father of Kalamandalam  Balasubramanian and also a close friend of Neelakantan Nambissan.  Rama Varier is a well wisher of Kathakali.  As per the statement of  Kalamandalam Ramankutty Nair in a documentary "Pacha"  Rama Varier  is a scholar in Kathakali.  A notabel person in Thakil Vadyam Sri Vadakkathu Sankaran Nair is also a native of Kothachira.
