Codification[edit]

This aerodrome was mentioned with the ICAO code UUBA; this is however not an ICAO code, it is only of local (i.e. Russian) significance. See the official state document at http://www.caiga.ru/DocAni/manual_of_4_letter_indexes/Indexes_of_Airports.pdf , it is regularly updated. At page 108 of the current edition, one can see ЬУБА | УУБА*| | Кострома / Сокеркино ЬУББ | | | Брянск / Бежица ЬУБВ | УУБВ | UUBB | Раменское ЬУБД | УУБД*| | Рязань / Дягилево

Had UUBA been a formal ICAO code, it would have been mentioned - in Latin script - in the third column, like the UUBB for Ramenskoye. The matter is complex and confusing, I hope this helps a bit. NB the first and second column are for military resp. civilian fields, some having the two; though the distinction is sometimes vague. Jan olieslagers (talk) 09:28, 27 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
