Merge[edit]

The following discussion is closed and will soon be archived: outcome was merged/redirected

Hi. I propose to merge/redirect the Fartha, County Cavan (townland) title to this Knockbride (civil parish) article. I propose this because: (a) I'm not convinced that Fartagh/Fartha townland has independent notability (0.2 sq mi/7 houses/18 people?) under WP:GEOLAND/WP:GNG; (b) the topic could easily and is probably better covered under the article on the legally recognised "populated place or administrative subdivision that contains it" - per WP:GEOLAND/WP:MERGEREASON; and (c) I'm unsure if the article is even correctly titled (I can find no sources which use the "Fartha" spelling (and moving/retitling doesn't make sense to me given (a) and (b)). Other thoughts welcome. Of course. Guliolopez (talk) 12:53, 17 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Bump. Any thoughts? It's been a week or so and, if no other thoughts or objections, I'll likely go ahead with the proposed merge soon.... Guliolopez (talk) 15:39, 23 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Resolved. As it's two weeks or so since I proposed the merge/redirect above, and as no other thoughts or opinions have been raised, I've gone ahead with related changes. While I'm not convinced that Fartha is the correct title for the townland (as all the sources give "Fartagh"), if needed, the related article can always be restored/expanded/moved as needed.
