this article, and your others on the men in this group, make me uneasy, especially those who aren't dead. I hope you're being VERY careful with your sources. Please document EVERYTHING carefully, and qualify your text with such phrases as ...according to testimony, reportedly, reputedly, etc. In both this and the previous article (yesterday's assessment), please clarify the policy of the German government on men and women who are accused of war crimes. To say simply that the German government won't allow the extradition of its citizens is not, I think, correct. Is it more accurate to say that it won't allow the extradition of its citizens in the case of capital crimes, if the death penalty is pursued. There are a lot of countries that won't do that (Canada?). All your biographies of these individuals fall into the biography project, so please add their template, and make sure you understand their policies on such things. Okay? Also you'll need to add the person data template to each of your articles. Auntieruth55 (talk) 20:33, 12 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for your advice. Frankly, I do not understand why these articles make you feel uneasy. Nothing I wrote is OR or unsourced. I AM VERY careful with my sources. You're right about the extradition though. I should have added the relevant article of the constitution which says in article 16 paragraph 2 that "kein Deutscher darf an das Ausland ausgeliefert werden. Durch Gesetz kann eine abweichende Regelung für Auslieferungen an einen Mitgliedstaat der Europäischen Union oder an einen internationalen Gerichtshof getroffen werden, soweit rechtsstaatliche Grundsätze gewahrt sind." I admit that the last subclause is vague and open to interpretation.
Regarding your remarks about the biography project etc., I am not involved in that project, thus I must admit that I know next to nothing about their policies. I leave the respective tagging etc to contributors and members of the relevant project(s). As you might know I am mostly involved in the Germany project and to a lesser extent in the Dutch one.
BTW, I am not sure what you mean with "others on the men in this group". I added some additional information to Heinrich Boere, and that's it.
In view of your statement, however, and the way it was presented I think I will refrain from writing biographical articles from now on. Okay? Cheers, --Ekki01 (talk) 21:21, 12 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Ekki, I don't see why you should stop doing these, I'm just concerned that everything is sourced, which you seem to be doing. Yes, that last clause of the constitution is very vague, at least to me, although I'm not a native speaker (and i looked yesterday at the grundgesetz to see what it said.). I don't see why someone not in the biography project should not do these articles, either. Definitely, given recent current evens (i.e., re Demjanjuk) they are necessary. There seems to be a series of projects re Silbertan under way, and I had the idea you were involved in that somehow. ?? Auntieruth55 (talk) 14:55, 13 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]
No I am not involved in any of them. Actually, this is the first I hear of it. Some time ago, I happened to read something in a Dutch magazine or newspaper about Dutch war criminals living in Germany and then thought to have a look at what the various wikipediae had to say about the whole issue. Naturally here in NL it is still a very sensitive topic and everything is closely followed by the media (well, some media anyway), unlike in Germany. For the Silbertannen and the Faber article I used the Dutch WP as inspiration but nothing else since the respective articles there are not sourced nor POV-free. However, it is quite difficult to find non-Dutch sources or even academic books in Dutch for any of these topics and since I live too far away from a decent library (even my town's library cannot provide further information) I had to make do with internet sources, taking care to use only respectable and reliable ones. The only problem now, is to find a good source for explaining this blooming article 16 of the GG. Cheers, --Ekki01 (talk) 16:42, 13 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

nationality[edit]

| nationality = [[Netherlands|Dutch]] (1922–1947?), [[Germany|German]] (1943–death)

Can somebody help me add this to the infobox? It doesn't work when I do it. --77.176.97.251 (talk) 15:55, 30 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]
