Kingston datatraveler[edit]

The DataTraveler line of USB flashdrives is manufactured by Kingston Technology, and are currently available in different modules, each made to be useful to different consumers, such as a high school student as oppose to an IT professional.

true, hyperx module is infact a heatsink. Heatsinks are supposed to be big. This technology is a small heatsink, it doesn't draw enough heat so lots of systems will crash using the hyperx ram module. They don't say so, but low end systems like custom motherboards can't support this unit due to high pipelines...the difference is some mbs have higher pipelines then others, higher pipelines heat up the ram more quickly so a custom mb will only hold 1 gig not 2 for instance, of this particular ram. Would not rec this for custom mbs, asus in particular. However, Hyperx is made for gaming because i did an fps test with cs source and kingston's hyper x 1 gig was faster than its regular two gig dd2. How is this possible? Faster clockspeed at 6400 is on the hyper x. Kingston.com is apparently registered to an organisation called PERFECT PRIVACY, LLC, of 12808 Gran Bay Parkway West, Jacksonville, FL. I can't connect them with Kignston Technologies, the memory company, except by making assumptions. MrDemeanour (talk) 21:28, 6 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Wiki community,

First off, I would like to introduce myself as the Search Engine Marketing Manager at HyperX. I apologize if this is the wrong place to discuss this topic. If it is not please point me in the right direction.

When HyperX was first created, we were a business unit and a product line of memory, but for the past 5 years we are looking to grow our own brand. A crucial part of creating our own brand is separating from the brand that is Kingston. As we all know, Wikipedia is a great resource for finding information on different organizations, and I was wondering if we could tell the story of HyperX outside of the shadows of Kingston.

I saw that a good number of our products and teams we sponsor are on the Kingston page, so I put in a request for HyperX to have it's own page and story. Since then, it looks like the HyperX page redirects to the Kingston page. I was wondering if it were possible to reconsider the redirect and have a page of our own that shows our history as a brand. I think the HyperX pieces of content on the Kingston page are good building blocks and are no longer relevant to Kingston (as a brand).

I appreciate you for reading this request. If there are any questions, or any steps for me to take, please don't hesitate to contact me.

Hyperxandrew: There does seem to be enough HyperX content here to warrant its own article. I'll look around for sources that could be used to write it. As a start, you can help establish that HyperX meets Wikipedia's notability policy by supplying reliable sources, independent of the brand, that discuss it.
