This page is not unambiguously promotional, because... (This page doesn't promote anything. If someone believes that this page has some promotional text, please highlight those. As Sanskrit Literature is a niche area, I just narrated my contributions to this field. All of the above furnished information are true to the best of my knowledge.

Hence request to highlight who marked this page for speedy deletion and why? As this is the first post it might be obvious that some text has some different meanings. Please highlight them so that I can delete those.) --Prof.keshab.ch.dash (talk) 18:42, 29 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]

If it were a question of a few problematic sentences or phrasings, I would have edited the article myself to remove those. Since there are only about three sentences in the article that are not unambiguously promotional, it cannot be salvaged, unfortunately. It's also not a matter of different varieties of English or words with different meanings. It does appear that the person is probably notable, so hopefully somebody who is not affiliated with him in any way will write a neutral, sourced article about him. --bonadea contributions talk 18:55, 29 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]

What is your definition of notable in wiki terms. I have had lot of my friends whose articles are already published. I've given their names below: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kala_Nath_Shastry https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bhaskaracharya_Tripathi https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Om_Prakash_Pande https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mithila_Prasad_Tripathi I'm not sure what your criteria to be notable. Can you be little precise? What knowledge you have in Sanskrit Literature. How many people you know in this field. Please do a through research before passing your remark. You can ask any notable person in Sanskrit Literature field in India and you will get your answer.

I'm note here trying to highlight/promote anything here.

I would kindly reques Wikipedia NOT to give the person who is reviewing currently on this page. I request a legitimate review of my account NOT by a person with limited exposure to review about Sanskrit Literature field.

Hope my request will be heard.--Prof.keshab.ch.dash (talk) — Preceding undated comment added 19:03, 29 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Contested deletion[edit]

This page is not unambiguously promotional, because... (To my knowledge this doesnot have any promotional topics. Many of my friends Wiki already exist. I just highlighted the contributions I made towards Sanskrit Literature. If I'm NOT notable, I wouldn't have received the awards which are highest in the field of Sanskrit in India. I'm not sure what's your criteria for genuinely notable. I see these my friends listed in Wiki

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kala_Nath_Shastry https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bhaskaracharya_Tripathi https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Om_Prakash_Pande https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mithila_Prasad_Tripathi

The user who has reviewed the page does NOT' have any clue about the field and who are renowned and who are not. I'm afraid that this kind of review might discourage people to see Wiki? The esteemed user is bonadea. How come someone from Sweden review the article of a Poet in India and then justify his/her point. This is ridiculous. I would challenge her to talk to me few lines on Sanskrit Litereture and Indian Culture, Sahitya Academy Awards etc.

Anyway terribly fed up and frustrated with the approach of review and how someone is marking an Article to be deleted. ) --Prof.keshab.ch.dash (talk) 19:27, 29 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]

As I said in my post above, I believe that you are indeed notable, and that is not the issue here. (Wikipedia's definition of "notability" is very specific. The specific criteria can be found here and here.) The issue is the fact that the article is promotionally written. The deletion tag will be reviewed by an administrator who will either agree with my assessment and delete the article, or disagree with me and remove the deletion tag.
Wikipedia recommends that nobody should write an article about themselves, as discussed on your user talk page. Please allow somebody who is not in any way affiliated with you to write the article independently. Thank you. --bonadea contributions talk 19:35, 29 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]
bonadea I think it doesn't really matter if someone else is endorsing or you are writing about yourself. I believe, I can best describe myself indeed with some authentic citations/references.
At this point, I'm not sure if the deletion tag is removed. But I can see the following messages:
[hide]This article has multiple issues. Please help improve it or discuss these issues on the talk page.
This article is an orphan, as no other articles link to it. Please introduce links to this page from related articles; try the Find link tool for suggestions. (June 2015)
This article is an autobiography or has been extensively edited by the subject or an institution related to the subject. (June 2015)
This biographical article needs additional citations for verification. (June 2015)
Can you help me clarifying each point and how can I provide authentic citations for the above points so that the messages can be reviewed again and removed.
Thanks in advance. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Prof.keshab.ch.dash (talkcontribs) 07:34, 2 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

This Page is Legitimate and is not an autobiography[edit]

I know Professor Dash since long time and I had the privilege to pursue Ph.D under him.

If there is anything can be done to make this article improvised, I can help.

You can find is information on blogging site as well. http://profkeshabchandradash.blogspot.com/p/book-preview.html

Also this is where he worked. http://www.sjsv.nic.in/

And he is no doubt a notable poet and philosopher in Modern Sanskrit language. And after all who won Odiya Sahitya Academy (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Odisha_Sahitya_Academy_Award) and Sanskrit Sahitya Academy (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Sahitya_Akademi_Award_winners_for_Sanskrit) they are deemed as Notable. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Madhumita.03 (talkcontribs) 21:43, 20 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Prof Dash Wiki Profile must remove the unnecessary informational items placed by Wikipedia[edit]

I've read many books from Prof Dash's bookshelf and disappointed to see his work is being questioned. Moreover, it was being reviewed by folks who has no clue about his contribution to Sanskrit literature. I kindly request to remove the unnecessary information on the top:

This article has multiple issues. Please help improve it or discuss these issues on the talk page. (Learn how and when to remove these template messages)
This article is an autobiography or has been extensively edited by the subject or by someone connected to the subject. (June 2015)
This article includes a list of general references, but it remains largely unverified because it lacks sufficient corresponding inline citations. (June 2015)
This biographical article is written like a résumé. (June 2018)
