Demographics[edit]

It says in the article that Hispanics/Latinos make up 100.5% of the population which can't be right. I will try to find the correct figure and put it in the article.Bfjksig201 22:18, 26 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

what's up with the city having a population larger than its enclosing county? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.87.151.144 (talk) 07:01, 14 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Kermit had a population of 5,714 with 2,592 housing units; a land area land area of 2.5 sq. miles; a water area of 0 sq. miles; and a population density of 2,288.31 people per sq. mile for Census 2000. Updated Census Estimates for all incorporated places in Texas. <-- this information was found on another website about Kermit and I believe to be much closer to the actual population. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 65.205.114.151 (talk) 19:44, 28 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

nursing controversy[edit]

the section on the nursing controversy is well-written and documented, but I wonder why it is not placed in the Winkler County article. The nurses were investigated by the county sheriff, prosecuted by the county attorney, and wound up successfully suing the county. This would seem to belong to the county article. No one gave a reason for the section not being in the county article, so I moved it. Plazak (talk) 00:02, 4 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]
