Fate of Kamille in Zeta Gundam[edit]

I changed the the word used to describe what happened to Kamille at the end of Zeta Gundam from "catatonic" to "psychotic." I think its a better description because it is more general and encompasses several possible disorders (since the exact psychiatric disorder is not stated). Catatonia refers to extreme loss of motor ability or constant hyperactive motor activity while Kamille appears to suffer from impairment of his perception and thinking that would place him more in the psychosis category. — in the last moments of zeta Kamille appears as a child, wondering where he is, and who he is, recognizing nobody and nothing, however, in the beginning of double zeta, he is more catatonic, reduced to a vegetable state where he rarely reacts to anything, save judau.--80.196.107.246 (talk) 23:20, 14 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Merge?[edit]

Kamille is a major character in two different television series (in addition to other spin-offs), not just one, and not to mention that he is the main protagonist in one of them. So what is exactly is the point of merging this article with List of Mobile Suit Zeta Gundam characters which only deals with one of those series? Huh? I don't think merging this article is proposed. This is one of the most notable characters anyway, having his own article seems to be reasonable(and we have secondary sources as well) However, I don't think he is a major character in two different series. He has a relatively minor role in ZZ.(His role is only to inspire the ZZ main character Judau, Kamille himself is in a coma for most of that series anyway) —Preceding signed comment added by MythSearchertalk 01:04, 19 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]
My question was mainly directed towards User:TheFarix. As you can see on the History page of the article, he/she had redirected this page to List of Mobile Suit Zeta Gundam characters twice without reason, hence why I wanted to know his/her reasoning behind doing so. Wow, engaging in an edit war spanning almost 3 years?? This needs to go to dispute resolution for sure. Kerfuffler (talk) 23:01, 5 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]
For the sake of documentation, here are 5RR that have occurred, of the same content, but over a period of nearly 3 years:

The time scale here is pretty unusual, but this is clear edit warring. Kerfuffler (talk) 02:27, 6 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

See comments above about edit warring. I don't fully understand the edit warring submission page, and it seems to only apply if you're actually a party to the warring. I noticed this because I was scanning Special:RecentChanges. Kerfuffler (talk) 02:29, 6 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

In answer to your question anyone can make a submission on the edit warring noticeboard, however, I don't feel that there is a great deal of point in making a submission there in this case.
Instead I suggest that everyone has a read through Wikipedia:Dispute resolution and especially Wikipedia:Notability (think of it as a fresh read if you have already) so that we are all starting with the same background policy knowledge.
My suggestion then would be for a submission to be made to the Notability Noticeboard if an editor or editors still feel that Kamille Bidan shouldn't have his own article. Callanecc (talkcontribslogs) 05:59, 6 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]
I don't get it. Did someone make an edit warring complaint on a noticeboard somewhere? Not sure if 5RR over nearly 3 years qualifies as edit warring, but whatever the case, I just want to make it clear that I would have been more than willing to just drop it if it was just me and him/her, but the fact is that another user MythSearcher has also given reasons for why this article is notable. It's about time TheFarix responded and gave some reasons for why s/he thinks this article isn't notable. Jagged 85 (talk) 14:10, 7 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]
