Resemblance to Cat Deely[edit]

Anyone else notice that she resembles host of So you thing you can dance, Cat Deeley? Acceptable 01:58, 22 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I am a new contributor and would like to learn how to add information to this page.[edit]

I have spent time following Julienne Irwin's rise to fame and I feel I have some good information to add and corrections to make to the current text. I would like to start with the songs she sang in the AGT competition (one was omitted) and add the names of the songwriters. I can pretty much use local links into Wikipedia to support this update.

Any suggestions? Should I just start typing?  ;-)

I have read many of the guideline pages, I really just want someone to watch over my shoulder so I don't mess things up too much. :-)

Later when I get the hang of this, I would like to update the current status of some of her projects, citing newspaper reports as the source. JoeRUBZ 03:12, 4 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Did some research and reformatted page, made minor additions. I have initial permission from Julienne Irwin to allow a quote she has published about herself to be used. I would like to add that under the Biography section, together with a current picture of her. Now if I can only get the proper "form" for her to sign and learn the process to follow so those items can be released under GFDL. In a similar way, I would like to quote a part of the Baltimore Sun article on her Camden Yard appearance. JoeRUBZ 05:02, 15 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

At this point, from what I have read and learned, I believe all the quotes are properly attributed and can be covered under the concept of "fair use". I will now see if I can work with the subject to provide a GFDL licensed image of her. Your helpful comments are always welcome! Either here or on my talk page:-) JoeRUBZ 18:18, 20 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Please don't add her exact birthday :-)[edit]

The most common thing in an encyclopedia bio was the birth date. In deciding how to improve this page, I have been checking comparable musicians, for instance Taylor Swift. She does have the exact birth date there. Then it dawned on me, with identity theft becoming the number one crime, and with Irwin as young as she is, one thing she probably does not need is the hassle of clearing such a theft up. Keeping a bio birth date private could make it more difficult for thieves. At most, I may just enter the year of birth, but no more. Please consider do the same :-) JoeRUBZ 16:43, 8 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

How do we add pics of Julienne Irwin?[edit]

I have found very good pics of her —Preceding unsigned comment added by Lionstar22 (talkcontribs) 00:50, 30 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Remember I am still a novice at this. :-) I tried real hard not to break rules when citing sources. I also looked at getting a pic in the info box. But my goodness ... Proper ownership of the pic is very difficult to get through if you haven't done it before. I'm actually trying to pursue the route of getting a personal friend or family member of Julienne to get a good pic of her and then get it on "Commons" released under a GFDL-compatible license. But she and her family are extremely busy, so that route is taking some time.

If you have a pic and have or can get ownership of it ... you might consider following this:

If you want to discuss further, please do! I'm willing to share what I learned. :-) JoeRUBZ 16:59, 30 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]
