Jorhat Airport wiki page[edit]

Despite giving factual evidence of Jorhat Airport's rank in Assam, someone deliberately keeps editing it as the 2nd major airport behind Guwahati Airport. Jorhat Airport currently ranks 4th, behind Guwahati, Dibrugarh, and Silchar. Whoever thinks otherwise can just refer to the number of airlines serving the airport, without even digging deep into air traffic data. With the departure of Jet Airways following its billion-dollar plus debt, only IndiGo serves Jorhat. Dibrugarh Airport, on the other hand, is served by IndiGo, SpiceJet, Air Vistara (started operations in April 2019), and Air India. Agreed that Jorhat is a bigger city than Dibrugarh and has a faster growth rate, but that doesn't mean that Dibrugarh can't have a bigger and better airport. It's just a matter of geographical convenience. Dibrugarh serves its neighbours Tinsukia, Sivasagar, Jorhat to some extent, and almost the entire upper reaches of Arunachal Pradesh. Hence, it is but logical that the Airports Authority of India has made significant investments in Dibrugarh rather than in Jorhat. Whoever that complexed person is, please refrain from doing mindless edits on this page. For the sake of facts, can you not stoke up petty rivalry? UdeeptaP (talk) 21:38, 8 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]
