USC Obit[edit]

The link has since broken, but here's a link to an archive I was able to get: "USC BIOLOGIST, EXPLORER JOHN GARTH DIES". — Red-tailed hawk (nest) 00:52, 11 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Squawking[edit]

It's interesting that this article endured for 1&1/2 years before anybody complained, and then the complaint was about a deleted press releaser, and some of these copyright-catchers have in the past objected to the use of "the Town of Hardwick" (ooh, 4 words exactly the same as somewhere else!) but I shall try to re-write this. I appreciate your commitment to re-writing this. I will note that the second source that is copied from is a 2006 obit in an academic journal, from which several sentences (52 words in a row starting with He graduated) are copied verbatim in the "Early life and education" section as of this revision. I agree that the first source is a press release, but that alone doesn't change any of our obligations under WP:C and WP:NFC. — Red-tailed hawk (nest) 04:17, 11 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
