Revision:

This non-existent article WAS linked in the entry concerning artist Peter Aschwanden. I created this stub article that I intend to expand provided I can find further reliable sources without resorting to "original research.".Bustter (talk) 23:04, 9 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Might not "John Muir (mechanic)" or "John Muir (engineer)" be more appropriate names for this page? As things are, it seems to imply that he was an automobile himself. 69.63.49.33 (talk) 19:10, 6 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I agree. I moved it from "John Muir (Volkswagen)" to "John Muir (engineer)". — QuicksilverT @ 08:05, 31 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Iconic of sixties hippy culture[edit]

Although first published at the end of the 1960's, the Volkswagen was an iconic 1960's vehicle, and in retrospect this book is iconic of hippies' funky do-it-yourself, make-do culture.-96.237.69.64 (talk) 02:23, 17 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]
