Name[edit]

Is the park officially called this ? Or is it just a general name ? -- Beardo 14:20, 16 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

(El parque fue llamado de esa forma oficialmente luego de la inauguración de la estatua de John Lennon por Fidel y el ministro de cultura Abel Prieto. Anteriormente, a raíz de un concierto donde participó Sintesis, Carlos Varela, entre otros, habían puesto una placa con el nombre de Lennon, pero mandaron a quitarla por no ser oficial.) Fidel Castro didn't kill John Lennon[edit]

But it sounds like that in the article. "The statue was unveiled on 8 December 2000, the 20th anniversary of Lennon's murder, by President Fidel Castro."
