Jr.[edit]

The name is the "John D. Rockefeller, Jr. Library" changing it to the "John D. Rockefeller Jr. Library" without the comma, is no more appropriate than changing it to the "Johnny D. Rockefeller, Jr. Library" or the "John D Rockefeller, Jr Library" without the periods. --Richard Arthur Norton (1958- ) (talk) 22:07, 1 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]

As with the discussion at Talk:John D. Rockefeller, Jr. Memorial Parkway § Move discussion from User talk :Sroc (which you are aware of), it is of no consequence that the relevant authority (or their website editor) ignores the rules of English punctuation as universally accepted by reputable style guides. We do not blindly follow "official" names (see WP:COMMONNAME and WP:OFFICIAL) and we routinely correct incorrect punctuation from sources MOS:QUOTE.— Preceding unsigned comment added by Sroc (talk • contribs) 08:35, 2 March 2015‎ (UTC)[reply]

In April 2016, WP:JR having been updated, and all RM discussions affirming the consensus to drop the comma, this article was moved to drop the comma. Dicklyon (talk) 03:27, 17 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]
